		The purpose of the Oklahoma Science Teachers Association (OSTA) is to develop, promote, and support science education in the state of Oklahoma. OSTA is governed by a Board of Directors according to OSTA's constitution and by-laws. Membership in OSTA is open to anyone interested in science education in Oklahoma. The right to vote, hold office and serve on committees is limited to dues-paying members of OSTA. OSTA is a state affiliate of the National Science Teachers Association.
